A scene from Disney’s Moana? Truly a wonderful world!
There are about 19 islands around Acadia National Park in Maine. However only five of them (Mount Desert Island, Isle summer Haut, Bar island, Baker island and little Cranberry island) have public access.
Most of the islands are nesting ground for birds and can only be observed by boat or from air.
I had an opportunity to photograph this natural wonder in the peak of fall foliage from a chartered plane.

There is no better season than Fall to experience this natural wonder in all its splendor (Fall Foliage). This photograph was taken from a charted plane.
In the following weeks, we will be exploring this natural wonder up-close and hiking through the Cadillac Mountains, sand beach and more.
